Lily was sitting in the library, her nose in her care of magical creatures book reading about hippogriffs. Of course that wasn't for a few months but what was the shame of reading ahead? At least that's what the young redhead thought. Sighing a little she continued to read, thinking about her Quidditch practice that day.
She had been having quite a few difficult days on the field and today it was damp and dreary just like her mood. Of course, Lil wasn't one to be depressive in all but she had been stressed a lot, worrying about her father and mother's expectations.

Martha had found herself with a cover-less, dusty, barely legible old spellbook in the corner of the library. The edges of the page were mostly bent or torn, and had yellowed from the wear of the years. She was about to embark on a journey through those ink smeared pages when she spotted Lily Potter. Martha quite adored Lily, largely due to the fact they both were quidditch players. But it wasn't just that. It was, well...Martha couldn't describe it really, except to say she was a rather likeable person.
From her vantage point it appeared the young girl was reading a bit ahead of what her assigned reading ought to have been. Martha appreciated this, as she herself was quite the dedicated student. After all not everyone would punish themselves with History of Magic year after year, just to see if they could attain the actual knowledge they were supposed to be learn from the Professor. Well, at least last year Binns got her name right. Though she guessed this to be largely due to the fact her father was Ravenclaw HOH.
Lily seemed a bit distraught to the older girl. It could've just been the dreary weather they were having, but she decided she'd rather not risk it.
Walking over to younger girl, Martha knelt down, and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hiya, you all right there Lil? Looked a bit gutted from across the room." She stopped and paused, realizing that perhaps Lily didn't want people to know she was feeling out of sorts, and could find this whole encounter rather embarrassing. "I don't think anyone else noticed though."A small reassuring smile crept across her lips as she spoke. Hopefully she wasn't making things worse.

Lily shrugged, "Hey Martha..I'm fine, just stressed." She murmured giving her a half grin. Brushing her long, red hair out of her eyes, she lightly tapped the older girl. "You definitely know me too well." She said laughing quietly and pulling her backwards baseball cap up so it wasn't falling over her eyes. "I don't know.. My dad being you know." She sighed.
