So, Morgana, tell me a little about yourself.
Well, where to start? I know, at the beginning, a very good place to start. By the way, that's one of my favourite films, the Sound of Music. Absolutely brilliant. Oh yes, I do love my films. I tried to make on eof my own but my little brother destroyed the camera when he thought it was a concealed basilisk egg. Anyway, me. I'm not too bad on the whole. Born in Dublin to a witch and her Muggle husband. Grew up in Dublin. Went to Hogwarts. Did alright. Joined the Minister's office and then a got a nice big shiny promotion. I love my job. So, that's pretty much me in a nutshell.
Very interesting! How would a friend describe you? How about an enemy?
Oooh, a friend would probably say I'm overly talkative. I'm also very friendly, apparently. I also have a very motherly streak, according to my sister. But, I don't trust her very much to be honest. But, yeah, friends. My best friend Elizabeth gave me this piece of paper so that I would remember what she thought I should say if you asked me this question. I am: motherly, talkative, loving, stupid at times, sorry that one's crossed out, a show off and in a nutshell, really odd at times. So, all that good stuff. Now, an enemy. I have quite a few to be perfectly honest. They would say that I'm vain, a show-off, a know it all and a general all over in-your-face type of person.
Tell me a little about your family.
OK, so let's start with Mam. She was born in Tipperary in 1963. She was 30 when I came along. My big sister Margaret was already five then. Paps was born in 1961. He was 32 when I was born. He came from Dublin. My grandma, Eileen, was born in 1939. She wasn't evacuated because her mam was really protective of her. My grandpa, Christopher, was born in 1940 but he was sent across the Irish Sea to Wales during the war. When he came back, his dad was dead. It was really sad when he told us. Then, there's my brothers and sister. My sister, Margaret, is five years older than me. She's alright but she's not the brightest button. I've got three little brothers. The oldest is only one year younger than me. That's Timothy. He's an Auror and he detsroyed my camera because he thought it was a basilislk egg. Then there's Stephen, he's three years younger than me. He's a photographer. Then the last one is Dean. We don't see him much any more. He went off to America with his girlfriend a few years ago. He's five years younger than me. Then I've got three nieces, they're all Margaret's and then two nephews. The oldest one is also Maggie's and then youngest one is Tim's.
Sounds like an interesting bunch… What was your childhood like? What about your days at school?
OK. I was born in Dublin as I've told you. I grew up there too. Loved it. My best friend was a Muggle named Valerie. We were practically inseperable. Maggie started primary school then. It was obvious she wasn't made to be clever. Shame, really. Tim was born when I was 1. He was a right misbehaved kid, he was. It all got worse when he started making random objects fly. Mam had to tell Paps about magic then. It was very strange. It was the first time I heard Paps shout at anyone. But, he calmed down eventually when Maggie started. By now, we had Stephen and Dean too. They were both really cheeky. Then, Maggie went to Hogwarts. We were all so excited. She came back every Christmas and Easter and summer. She told us all the amazing things she did. Then, I was so excited when I went!
I was Sorted by the Hat into Hufflepuff. I was bullied a bit by Slytherins but I just carried on. Apparently, I have a very thick skin. I did rather well in my classes. When I went, lots of students were talking about a war that had ended a few years after I was born. And over in America, two very important towers had been destroyed. Some students had a strange theory that they were connected. I thought it was completely different. Muggles have their problems, we have ours. When I was in my fourth year, I started going out with a very charming young man from Durmstrang. We met over a school connection scheme. It was very interesting. His name was, well, is Anders Brun. We're still friends. In my OWLS, I got more good than bad. I failed miserably at Divination and Care of Magical Creatures. But, I did quite well at Potions, Charms, Transfiguration and Arithmancy. Then, I scored top at Astronomy and Muggle Studies.
So, I graduated with thre Os and four EEs, I went straight to the Ministry. I managed to fill the gap of Personal Assitant to the Minister. Then, I got a lovely shiny promotion! I'm assuming you know that promotion? Good.
What was your favorite subject at Hogwarts?
My favourite was Astronomy. I just love planets and stars. That's why when Maggie gave me the chance to name her first daughter, I gave her the name Mercura.
If you could spend a day with any person, muggle, witch, wizard, werewolf, or any other species, dead or alive, who would they be?
Oooh, that's a good one. I suppose it would be Ginny Weasley or my namesake, Morgana le Fae.
Congratulations, you’ve just won ten thousand galleons! What do you spend it on?
Oh my, that's wonderful. I'd spend it on a whole new wardrobe for myself, maybe a nice new shiny house and definately a lovely holiday to the Irish countryside. Ooh, wonderful.
If you could have any job, what would it be?
Minister for Magic, my dear!
What are your strengths? Weaknesses?
OK, strengths. Caring, loyal, intelligent and imaginative. And weaknesses. Vain, show-off, know-it-all and on occaision, meaning when I'm stressed, stupid at times.
Favorite things? Least favorites?
My favourite things are The Sound of Music, Ireland, romantic novels, Arthurian legends, films, Hogwarts and music. The things I don't like are being bored, people who are lazy, being stressed, I absolutely hate horror, badly written novels, people who are drunk and being late.
Is that all? Oh, it was lovely meeting you. I hope we meet again. Goodbye.
