Hugo walked into the common room, following Lily, absolutely exhausted from a long Quidditch practice. It wasn't that he enjoyed it very much - he did have a bit of fun, but not much, considering the fact that he really only played to compare with his cousins and sister. It was more of an expectation than anything to play quidditch when you were a Weasley-Potter because everyone else did, and people thought you were almost exactly alike your relatives. If anything, he hated this expectation, along with the equally annoying one to be great. Sure, his parents were war heroes, but that didn't mean that he was going to be one as well.
Sighing heavily, he plopped down on one of the couches near a fireplace. He was freezing - the winter winds were as chilly as they could possibly get, and they didn't seem like they'd go away anywhere in the near future, unfortunately. Scotland was always cold, unfortunately. He sat up, trying to warm himself up, watching as Lily sat down next to him.
"So, how'd you like practice?" he said awkwardly.

Lily rolled her eyes in annoyance at herself. This was the second time this week she couldn't find the snitch, her father would be ashamed. Lily was a perfectionist and wanted to make sure she caught it every time. She was the only third year on the team besides Hugo and felt a responsibility seeing as her father was one before her. "It sucked, that's how it is." the redhead said with a sigh, flopping onto the couch in a huff. "You were amazing, Hugs." she said, playfully ruffling his hair, even though she was technically younger than him. "How do you think you did? I know I was awful." Lils said, shoving on her baseball cap.

"You were great," assured Hugo. She had her bad days, that was all - his perfectionist tendencies must've rubbed off on her or something. "Really. You were close to catching it, I swear... you were great. And that dive that you did? Absolutely spectacular," he rambled, offering her a shy grin. "Don't worry... you did well. Really, really well." He moved his freezing hands closer to the fire, staring into it. He needed to get something so that his hands wouldn't freeze while flying - it was hard to catch the quaffle when your hands were so cold so that you could barely feel them.
He stared as she put the cap on, though his eyes darted right back.

Lily rolled her eye, looking at the fire. "I know I can do better, Hugs. It's so unfair! I shouldn't be screwing up like this." the redhead sighed in frustration. Lil was certainly a perfectionist and sometimes it what to the point of a little bi of an obsession. After warming her hands in front of the fire again, she picked up her damp broomstick and her team rain jacket. "I'm going out to practice some more, do you want to come with me?"

"But you tried your best!" protested Hugo. "You really did, you gave it your best shot. You know you did," he said quickly, folding his arms, trying to warm them up. Hugo, too, was a perfectionist, but he hid it, for the most part. It really only showed up in class and with homework, and for the most part, when he was alone. He hesitated before he answered. To be honest, he had no desire to go out and play quidditch, but he wanted to spend time with Lily. "Sure," he said with a small smile. "I don't see why not."

Lily smirked happily and picked up her broomstick. "Race you there!" she said before she dashed down the hallway and outside across the field, once there she unlocked the Snitch, hopped on her broom and rocketed into the sky. She felt the wind whip through her red hair as she followed the tiny golden ball. Hurriedly, she turned her head on the broom and shouted at Hugo. "Come on slow-poke!" she giggled.
